The monograph is intended for members of the first generation of the Railway Traffic School in Vogošća near Sarajevo. On this occasion, in June 1990, they organized the 30th anniversary celebration of graduation, making this monograph a commemorative and documentary record. Through images and words, one can gain a basic insight into the education, dormitory life, and the subsequent fate of the first generation.

Constant and efficient control was the obligation of supervisory foremen regarding the proper and successful conduct of practical training, as well as an indication of the weaknesses and deficiencies in the personnel training system. This type of control was organized by the Ministry of Yugoslav Railways for all administrations, or locations where railway industrial schools existed. This book dates from 1951/52 and is a valuable indicator of the educational methods used at that time for training and elevating personnel on the railways.
