In 1951, construction (reconstruction) began on a standard gauge railway of 1.435 meters with minor modifications from Podlugovi station to Vare\u0161 and further towards Dro\u0161kovac. The length of the newly constructed track, measured from Podlugovi station to the last switch in Dro\u0161kovac, is 23.885 km. The date of final discontinuation of the narrow gauge railway coincides with the opening of the standard gauge railway for regular traffic on March 28, 1953.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
